Going to PINC? Here's What to Expect!


On the day of PINC, you will be joining an eclectic group at our fifth annual PINC Experience! The DreamLarge team has worked incredibly hard to bring this day to fruition with the support of some incredible partners.

Here's some important information to prepare you for the day of, so you know what to expect! 


1. What is the dress code?


Business casual is what we advise. Also consider bringing a sweater as it can get chilly inside the Opera House. 


2. Arrival


We ask that you plan your journey to be at the Sarasota Opera House anytime after 8am. Ensure you allow adequate time for parking (at least 10-15 minutes). The address for the Opera House is: 61 N Pineapple Ave, Sarasota, FL 34236. Don't know how to get there?

3. Parking


Please park in the Palm Avenue parking garage, located directly behind the Sarasota Opera House. The City of Sarasota has been incredibly gracious in suspending the 4-hour time restriction in the garage that day on floors 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the garage. Park high, take either the stairs or the elevator down, then walk out the back towards the Opera House.

4. A Culinary Adventure


You should come expecting a culinary tour-de-force at PINC; from morning all the way through to the evening canapés, we intend to tantalize your taste buds. We also have vegan and gluten-free options on the menu.  


5. Start Time & Breaks


PINC is an all-day, immersive experience. You have to be there from start-to-finish to truly experience it. We often get asked about the agenda and while the exact lineup of speakers and agenda will be printed on your badge, we can share the following in advance so you can plan accordingly. 

We will be starting PINC at 9am sharp. The day will be divided into 4 segments, with breaks in-between. Here's a high-level agenda so you know what to expect:

Track 1 : 9am - 10.45am
~ 30 minute break ~
Track 2 : 11.15am - 1pm
~ 1 hour lunch ~
Track 3 : 2pm - 3.40pm
~ 30 minute break ~
Track 4 : 4.10pm - 5:30pm
Reception immediately follows beginning at 5:30pm.


6. Where is my assigned seat?


We do NOT assign seats at PINC. Instead, we invite you to grab whatever seat you want and then ask you to switch after each break to gain a different perspective throughout the day. Most attendees do this and use it as an opportunity to meet new faces, others prefer to take up residence for the day and allow the surroundings to change around them.

The decision is entirely yours. 


7. The PINC Book Exchange


An incredibly important part of the experience is the book exchange. Each year at PINC, we ask every attendee to bring a book that holds some significance to them. It could be a favorite book, a book you just read, something that you feel offers a perspective that could impact someone else...anything you're willing to part with, really. 


Inside that book, we ask that you inscribe a little message. Write why you’re sharing this book. If you’re so inclined, sign off with your name and contact details (that’s entirely up to you). 


Wrap it in some way. We’ve seen everything from newsprint to fancy ties. Get creative!


Bring it with you in the morning and set it on our book table. 


When you leave at the end of the day, pick a different book and take it with you! 

The book exchange is really that simple! Who knows what you might receive or who you might meet?


8. Will I get a chance to meet the speakers?


Part of the beauty of PINC is that our speakers are present throughout the day and evening -- leaving plenty of time to meet them, ask questions or have a book signed. After morning registration, there will be a PINC shop in the lobby with speakers’ books, PINC memorabilia, t-shirts and some other suprise items.
